Aloha, To get out of the wind my pack and me drove up to Empire pass to see how Road to Ruby was looking, and we were glad that we did. It was beautiful and no one around and no wind, just a small breeze, cool, and delightful.... If you all have not been on this new trail that was built last year, I highly recommend it for hiking and biking, it really is beautiful, peaceful and a well made trail. It branches off of the Empire Link that connects to Mid Mountain and also hooks up with the TG trails towards the top making it a great small or long loop, or out and back adventure. This trail takes you to the saddle of the Empire Pass road or Guardsmans pass as some of you may know it.
