March 28th & 29th Adventures

Aloha
How about all this amazing spring dumpage!! We love it! East Canyon was very peaceful with my fabulous five and a few birds, not a peep from our friendly coyote. With a long up in some pretty wet spring snow on my split board which turned out to be a bad iedea but a good work out for me at least. Not a great place to skin with the snow on the south facing slopes looking thin so it was slow going but then the dogs got their workout jogging the whole way down.
Tuesday was a rippen' day on the PCMR slopes for Schwaby on the skis in the am and sooo sweet on the board with Jasper and Roxy in Summit Park for the pm with at least 10 to 12 inches of new creamy white stuff for all to enjoy. Let's hope for more snow this week and everybody needs to take a day off and enjoy some local turns. Just do it! Life is good...And short. Peace

March 25th Daddy Daughter day with Dryfus

Aloha Friday
Spring snow showers all day today while pushing my little angel(Kya Marley) in her Chariot with Dryfus right behind us on the trails of Round Valley, sure wish they had groomed today but it turned out to be pretty darn good and I needed the extra workout anyway. I had to get a photo of these two, so we waited for the snow to lighten up and went to the City Park for a couple shots, and as you can see,

they were quite smitten with one another....Dryfus loves kids and Kya loves doggies! I ask you...does it get more real than that?

March 23rd and 24th spring adventures

Aloha
Another gorgeous spring day in PC and loving this sunny weather and the fact that there is still a whole bunch of snow. Wednesdays hike in Pinebrook was sunny and warm with my crazy fun 8 pack. The snow fields are perfect for going anywhere as long as you have snowshoes or four paws. Just above Gorgoza park was really nice but most of the trails were gone from all the wind lately so we made some tracks of our own. Todays pack-Aspen,Max,Harry,Jake,Bailey,Jasper,Delilahbear and Roxy.
Seeing how good the conditions were in summit park earlier in the week, I had to go back with my Splitboard and make some turns and it was well worth it after we found one of the best lines of the year!! The run through the trees had been swept clean for us, making it a dream to ride and awesome for Roxy and Dryfus to stay right on my tail. Backcountry conditions are dreamy right now, so if you are one of those people, get out and enjoy these amazing conditions before they're gone. I waxed my board with a universal wax today and it was great. Skin glop or what ever you call that stuff may be a good idea as well.

March 21st & 22nd adventures

Aloha my friends,
I have to say the first two days of spring have been quite fabulous! With the high winds and light dustings throughout each day it feels like the sandy dunes, smooth and creamy and oh so much fun! Summit Park was all anew, with parts of the trails disappearing into the hill side and not a single riders track to be seen....Let the spring riding begin! This is one of the many reasons why we live here and also why it is the preferred time of year for most of my dogs. We love the freshies sun and corn too. Tuesdays run was right on par with Mondays conditions but this time out in the Woodland/Uintas area where not one peep from a bird fox deer moose or any type of animal, weird yet surreal and magical. We were the only animals making tracks on this day as our route was cleared by the latest storms once again by Mother Nature, Thanks Mom! I am dedicating todays adventure to our beloved Cody who left this earth Saturday. Cody was a dear friend and pack member of Schwaby Dogs for many fun filled and exciting adventures and he will surely be missed. Cody always liked to be out in front scouting our route and was a loyal friend and companion with an awesome attitude. We love you Cody. Our warmest condolences to Dr Mike and Julie McFadden. Cody is our White Husky in the middle with the big smile:)
I will post the two days of adventures tomorrow, for my wife took the card reader, I guess it's time to purchase one of my own.
PEACE-MICHAEL

The dogs are jazzed every time and so is Schwaby. Todays pack-Max Harry Bailey Jake Tank Charger and Dillon. We worked on patients recall and follow the leader.

St Patty's day adventure

Aloha,
Welcome to the new Schwaby Dogs Adventures blog! A friend of mine (Jaspers Mom) suggested this to me and thought it might be cool.  My 6 pack and I hoofed it up the Guard road to the new snow from last night and rallied down into Brighton Estates for some freshies. We then hiked up a small hill to get this photo with a nice view of Heber and some rough and tumble play time with one another. More freshies after that and back to the transport vehicle. Great day!
