Sept 26th and 27th Fall adventures

Aloha,
The last two days were absolutely fabulous on the trails of the Colony and Pinebrook. The colors are going off and the temps have been Indian summer like, we love it!! There is a new trail off the Mid Mountain trail called gold finger that was pretty nice, just one more detour/link off the now famous Mid Mt. A small pack of three made for a cruisin' day for Schwaby.
Pinebrook was stunning today with red, yellow, pink and orange rooms!! If you want to see some amazing colors check out the cool trails of upper and lower Meeks and on up to Hunters plaid (yet another link to Mid Mt.) Great 7 pack of fun happy and energized dogs on this gorgeous day.
Life is good:) I am heading out of town to ride my bike in Idaho so you all have a fine week.
Peace...Michael

Aloha Fridays adventure to Daly classics 9/23/2011

Aloha Friday!
Today was a day of classics. What I mean is classic trails that have been around since the beginning of mountain biking in PC. Trails such as the Daly Grind, Tour de Suds and Speed Bag. All of these trails have been modified and detoured throughout the years but there are still original sections still in place and it brought me back in time and made me smile thinking of all the cool adventures I have enjoyed for the past 16 years. We also played on some of the newer classics such as Johns 99, Empire Link and Mid Mountain. Daly remains to be my all time favorite place to be in Park City and I think the dogs will agree with me. We have seen more moose there than anywhere else in Summit County and the trails are down right RADD!! I felt this was the perfect place to go for Brophy and Ty's last adventure of the year and it was all that...PERFECTO MUNDO!! We will miss the Ray's and wish them all a happy ending to 2011.
God bless and peace...Schwaby

Sept 22nd super cool Summit Park Peak adventure

Aloha,
Steep start to our hike and even steeper to the peak on this gorgeous day. We stopped along the way to make improvements to our winter shelter structure and take some individual photos of each dog. I have to say that I was very impressed that each dog stepped right up to the plate for their shot and gave their best smile, well, almost all of them. It was quite comical and made for a good laugh. After that we blasted up to the old WOS shelter site for a water stop and hit the peak for a few minutes to check out the 360 degree views before running down the mountain. We just love Summit park for all it's beauty, killer trails, and scenic views. If you haven't been lately, I highly suggest you go and check it out. Great biking(short & sweet) amazing hiking!! Life is good:) Live Strong. Schwaby

Sept 14 15 & 16 adventures

Aloha,
Change is here...many of us are not ready for the cold just yet, but are happy to see the cooler weather, the colors and the quiet. I think one of the many reasons we live here are the seasons. We may not be excited that summer is gone, and wish that Fall would last for at least 3 months, yet when that white stuff falls, our smiles return and we are excited once again. Change is the only thing we can count on, change is good, it's new, fresh and exciting. So get on your bikes, horses, hiking shoes and the water while this amazing season is upon us, for snow is just around the bend.
Life is good:) Peace Schwaby

Sept 6th Iron Canyon adventure

Aloha,
The fall is shaping up nicely with the cool nights and mornings, yet warming to the 70's during the day...My kind of weather!! Iron Canyon is always a challenge and beautiful as well. We hiked up Iron Man trail which was pretty cool until reaching all the new construction, wow it's crazy what they have done up there, especially if you have seen the before, and hopefully the finishing product will be cool. Fun day and dogs too.
Peace out. Schwaby
