The Colony ridge is an amazing place where we can see the Crest Line trail and awesome views of the Wasatch  Mountains. We are usually the only ones up there. Love this hike and so do the dogs!!

November 28th Glenwild easy Wednesday

Aloha,

I do recommend this trail for hiking,  not biking, for there are a few wet spots on the south facing side and the north...forget about it!! Water at the beginning and end for the dogs is great and the easy trails are relaxing and fun for all. This particular trail head is located behind the Montessori  School next to Burt Brothers Tires in Jeremy.  Remember to always be respectful of others, watch out for wild life and  pick up after your dogs.  We are very fortunate to have access to so many trails, lets keep it that way shall we.

November 27th Summit Park

Aloha,

I am not recommending Summit Park at this time, at least not until we get more snow or it melts, I'm hoping for snow because the latter option may take awhile and that will not be good for our town. It was icy and treacherous, still nice to be there but not recommended. The dogs did not seem to mind, four paw drive helps, yet they too had to bring it down a notch and stayed closer to me. If you do decide to venture out to these normally fabulous trails, bring your cat tracks and ski poles and some extra time, because you will need all of them, trust me!

November 26th adventure

Aloha,

 We have been searching for semi dry trails and we found some today in Eagle pointe in Park Meadows.   Still some mud and snow coverage on these twisting semi narrow trails but we manage to stay fairly clean.  Just Roxy and Dryfus on this partly sunny day.  This is a fun local hike for anyone and their dog.

This was not the best day for pics, it was dumping out and we were on the move to stay warm.  It was awesome!! Our first big dump of the year, let's hope it continues.

Nov 16th Adventure

Aloha,

Overcast day on the Sweeney switchback trails made for a rough beginning for myself but the dogs didn't care so I got over it and started to enjoy the day, especially when it started to snow, which always makes me happy.  I not a gloomy weather kind of guy so the dogs have to remind me to live in the moment and be thankful for what we have.  We can learn a great deal from our best friends if we just stop and listen and watch them.

Nov19th Guardsman/Empire ridge adventure

Aloha,

Awesome day in Empire with a four pack of stellar dogs and 6 plus inches of new gropple snow with partly cloudy sky's  and a slight nip in the air. Down the back side of Empire we ran in fresh pow pow and I was laughing the whole way  with the dogs right on my ass!! Another great untracked snowshoe run on the north facing side on our way back with Schwaby in the lead and laughing once again, so were the dogs...laughing!! The dogs earned their turns today!!
