June 13th Mormon flats

Aloha, The Mormon flats trail is always a good place to be for water and just a really cool out and back trail that has been around for a long, long time. starting off getting wet is the way to go on a hot summer day and here you can see the dogs are doing just that, especially Josie, Sasha and Brooks. This can be a busy place with groups of people from all kinds of organizations because it is a relatively easy hike with water most of the way, and not much of an elevation gain. For bikers though, it can be quite technical with all the creek crossings and rocky terrain leading up to the next section that is 5+ miles up to the East Canyon saddle, another awesome hiking and biking trail. We stopped to say hi to these two Great Pyrenees buddies of mine and there new little sheepy friend on the way out. Is he not the cutest thing!!! He acts just like the dogs and is very social. This place has many fun animals and I like to stop to visit when we are out there. Peace. M
