Nov 15th Winter Adventures

Aloha,
The Masonic trail started out muddy but soon turned into snow once we were on the north facing side. Roxy and Jasper were my charges and the day was gorgeous with temps in the 30's blue sky's and just our smiling faces. We ended our 75 minute loop on April Mountain. Both dogs were excellent and so was the hike.
After dropping off Jasper and picking up Dryfus and Delila Bear we headed up the hill to Guardsmans pass. Starting on the road that was lightly covered with snow we hiked up to the saddle where it was windy and chilly but beautiful. After making it to the water tower on the way to Empire ridge we decided to see how deep the snow was on the north facing side. It was at least a foot or so and super light, yeah...winter is here and we are excited. We jumped and weaved down the mountain landing on the new T&G trail then decided that we didn't need no stinking trails and hauled off through the trees in the freshy-fresh all the way to the Empire lodge. We were all jazzed with our sweet run, snow covered and still smiling! Just a heads up-there was not enough snow to ride so I highly suggest everybody just wait! It will be here soon.
Todays tip-feed your dogs meat even if its only two or three meals per week. Preferably raw and not from the local grocery stores unless you cook it slightly. Love Your Pet Bakery on Park Ave has an excellent food and amazing treats for all your pets. I see a huge difference with the dogs that eat raw!! We feed our cats raw food and they love it and are super healthy and happy. I also sell and deliver the food to you. Nutrition is so important for a healthy and happy life style.
Peace. Schwaby
