Aloha, BIG PACK TODAY!! It was great to have a larger pack on this slightly overcast day on the Sweeney Switchbacks, it brought back some memories of the 12 pack days. We were nine and running strong and hard!! There is an energy amongst the dogs when you get this many of them together that is truly a sight to see and feel. I'm not going back to large packs any time soon, but once in awhile I need to test my skills and patients with the BIG packs, it's good for all. We came across all kinds of hikers and bikers and the dogs were very good, except when we caught a family eating lunch. It took a little bit of persuasion to get everybody back on track, food is always a tough one with da pooches, but they all listened to their pack leader and we were on our way. A strong pack leader will have a strong pack. Persistence and consistence, energy and tone will make it happen. It's all about love trust and respect.
