Feb 6th winter adventures

Aloha,
I have been seeing more and more bike tracks on the trails lately, and why not, this winter has not really showed up yet. The groomers are great, but for all the off pister's it gets old after so many of those fast and fun groomers. On the bright side, skate skiing is getting good and for another option, go out to the Rail trail at Promontory. It's wide open and plenty of space for your dogs to run to their hearts content, and you can go for miles. Skate and cross country skiing are excellent activities to do with your four legged friends because your pace is faster and many dogs like a fast pace.
King road from Daly canyon is another well known hike and yet never very busy, at least in the middle of the day. Park in Daly on top of Daly Ave. and head west on the connector trail that parallels Daly Ave. over to King Road canyon up to Grave digger and a few others. You can hike the actual King road as well for sweet views of Old Town and to connect to even more trails. We are so lucky to have such an amazing trail system here in PC, so get out my friends and enjoy.
Feel free to email me at schwabydogs@gmail.com or comment on the blog for fun places to go with your pooches.
Peace...Schwaby
