May 1st porcupine adventure and Round Valley adventures
Aloha,
Porcupines....they sure are cute and can cause a nosey dog some real discomfort. Unfortunately little miss Josie was on the losing end of one of these guys up on the guard road. I may have cursed myself chasing down another cute little guy after he crossed the road earlier that day, I just wanted to get a picture of his face!! His cousin made me pay and Josie got the worst of it. I only had pics of the critters because this happened half way through the hike. Lesson learned? I hope Josie learned, she had a bunch of quills and we ended up at the vet to get the ones in her mouth out after I pulled all 20+ from her snout. They are out there folks so keep your dogs close and teach them good recall so this doesn't happen to you.
Round Valley for our second hike was nice and quiet with this lazy moose having no worries about the dogs, these guys I really don't worry about and are always a welcome sight. Round valley is very dry and awesome to hike and bike so get out there and play!!

April 30th adventure
Aloha,
Daly Canyon is always a good way to kick off the week and it was super nice with some dry trails big patches of snow and a beautiful sunny day. We started out on the Ontario bypass road and made a big loop on the Empire link trail to Johns 99 down the power line road to the creek to cool off and back up Tour de Suds. All good dogs and a great day!!

April 26th adventures
Aloha,
Two fantastic hikes today with some equally fantastic dogs. Delilah Bear, Jasper, Roxy, Reo, Zoey and Dryfus were loving this day as well as I. We had warm sun and rain/thunder boomers towards the end. Lost Prospector was nice and dry for all activities, one could call it hero dirt from a bikers stand pointe.
The Armstrong trail was really nice and in fine shape to be riding at least up to the King Con lift where we had to turn around due to time and the weather. As you can see, mostly dry and beautiful, I can't wait to get on my bicycle!!
The super pipe is slowly melting away, which was a little sad because it is such an amazing structure!
Life is good. You all have an awesome weekend, my family and I are heading up to Vernal to camp, bike, hike and SUP!!
Peace. Schwaby
April 25th adventure
Aloha,
Across from the White barn are some really nice trails for hiking and biking but better for hiking because of the tight turns, low hanging trees and narrow trails. They wind their way up to the cell phone towers where some great views of Old Ranch Road and the Aspens neighborhood are captured. From the droppings that we see, there seems to be a large contingent of deer up there even though we rarely see them. We did find a 4 point antler one time. There are so many little side trails that one can get lost or confused if not paying attention. These are totally dry by the way.
Hike and bike on....Schwaby
April 24th adventures
Zoey and Josie doing some doggie wrastling
Aloha,
PCMR and Robs trails were amazingly dry compared to last year at this time and we were stoked to hike on mostly dry trails with little mud and some snow. PCMR as you can see had a bunch of snow towards the top of the Sweeney Switchbacks trail. Again, it's looking like a much earlier biking season this year, ah huh, that's what I'm talkin' about. I am remembering that Robs at this time was still covered in snow and a few weeks later it was a mud pit, not this year!! Still, there is snow on the trail and riding is not recommended. Fabulous dogs today, with good attitudes and energy. We love to hike!!

April 23rd adventure
Aloha,
Daly on Monday was primo for hiking with dry trails, snow patches to cool off in, this fine looking young moose and a visit with my good friend Heather and her dogs. Heather is having a baby girl in the near future, hurray!! We are so happy for her and Jeff, CONGRATULATIONS! Daly still remains to be on our all time best place to be in Park City list.
Look at these trails, they are almost ready to ride, I'm giddy with excitement!!
Ride on dudes!!
Peace out. Schwaby
